I am dedicating my art to St. Joseph, the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Hopefully, he has a soft spot for me—since I have her name (María ~ Mary). 🌼

"The Holy Family" is a commissioned drawing that I did, years ago, of the Child Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and Saint Joseph.

For the photo reference, I enlisted the help of my sister (for Mary) and my brother (as St. Joseph) and a little church friend (as Jesus). Thanks, guys! 

I even sewed their costumes and posed them, so I could take photos for reference for the drawing. They were such good sports.

My Favorite Novena Prayer to St. Joseph (Save for later!)

So, Saint Joseph and I have a long history. In fact, it was right on the last day of a novena to St. Joseph that my husband and I first started dating (17+ years ago!).  

I am sharing the same novena with you, hoping that you will take comfort in knowing that this amazing saint wants to help you with whatever weighs on your heart.
